You know, there are times when it feels like everything around us is falling apart. It’s as if the world has turned its back on us, and we’re left feeling lost and alone. In those moments, it takes courage to be vulnerable and express our true feelings, even to the Lord.
“I’m not afraid to tell you how I feel. Lord, right now, so much seems lost” the opening line of a one of my most recent songs. The raw honesty of those words, the pouring out of a heart before God. We may not have all the answers, but in the midst of our pain and confusion, we can find solace in knowing that we are not alone.
Sometimes, it can be hard to grasp the magnitude of the promises God has made to us. We may wonder if they still hold true when we are faced with adversity. But here’s the thing, God’s promises are unchanging. Even when it seems like there’s a high cost to our faith, we can trust that He will remain faithful.
In my own journey, I’ve learned that faith is about smooth sailing. It’s about finding strength in the storm and holding onto God’s promises even when everything around us feels uncertain. Yes, there may be losses along the way, but God’s faithfulness never wavers.
The key is to embrace the process and surrender our worries and fears to Him. It’s a daily choice to trust in God’s plan, even when we can’t see the full picture. When we let go of our need for control and lean on His unwavering love, we find a sense of peace that surpasses all understanding.
So let’s remember that faith is not a one-time decision but a continuous journey and even in the face of loss and setbacks, that God keeps His promises. Let our faith anchor us, give us hope, and guide us through the darkest of times.
